The new BMW F 900 GS went on sale in India a few days ago. The ADV features styling changes as well as a bigger, more powerful engine. Here are details about the new F 900 GS through images.
The F 900 GS looks markedly different from its predecessor. The bike looks close to what a rally bike would look like, with the slimmer body panels especially when you look at the exposed subframe.
The BMW F 900 GS is powered by an 895cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 105bhp at 8500rpm and 93Nm at 6750rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The F 900 GS employs a bridge-type frame that is suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear, tubeless, wire-spoke wheels.
Braking duties are taken care of by a pair of discs at the front and a disc at the rear.
In terms of features, the bike gets two ride modes – Rain and Road, Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro and more.
The bike is available at a starting price of Rs 13.75 lakh. It goes up against the Triumph Tiger 900 range
