-Gets new LED headlight
-Has a flat handlebar
-Powered by a 799cc, parallel-twin engine
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 will be unveiled to the world on 2 October. The company rolled out a teaser on its social media channel confirming the same. The new Vitpilen 801 is visible partially in the teaser and here are some of the visible details.
Firstly, the bike gets a new LED headlight that also appears to be placed at a lower height than that of the Svartpilen 801. The headlight itself has an interesting design. An oval LED DRL has an inset LED projector, giving the new Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 an interesting design.
The fuel tank has an edgy design and it looks good. The side and tail sections, meanwhile, appear to be the same as on the Svartoilen 801. On the whole, the Vitpilen 801 should look distinct as is the case with every Husqvarna motorcycle.
The Husqvarna 801 is powered by a 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 103.25bhp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 87Nm at 8,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. This engine is known for its punchy midrange and sound.
The bike uses a chromium-molybdenum tubular frame that is suspended by an adjustable WP Apex USD and WP monoshock which is also adjustable.
In terms of features, the bike should get all-LED lights, ride modes, traction control, cornering ABS and more.
Expect the bike to go on sale in international markets soon after it is unveiled. The chances of Vitpilen 801 being launched in India are bleak.
