– Equipped with a faulty ignition coil
– Could reduce the vehicle performance
– Might also result in a short-circuit
Royal Enfield has issued another recall for its motorcycles and this time is for a faulty ignition coil. The brand has also stated that the issue could potentially reduce the bike’s performance or lead to a short circuit as well. However, we are yet to learn from the brand about the models that this recall is applicable for.
Owners can also visit the official website, enter their bike’s chassis number and verify whether the same. This recall comes shortly after the brand announced a global recall for sub-standard reflectors. However, compared to the issue with the reflectors, the faulty ignition coil is a grave problem and is recommended to be fixed before any mishap.
Apart from that, the brand also launched new tubeless spoke wheels for its flagship adventure motorcycle, the Himalayan 450. Royal Enfield is offering the pair of wheels at Rs. 11,000 for new bike buyers whereas the existing ones can upgrade their bike for about Rs. 12,000. The tubeless wheels come in handy in case of a puncture as the bike can not only be ridden in limp mode to the nearest workshop but can also be fixed using a regular puncture probe kit.
That said, we recommend you check our site again for an update on the models included in the ignition coil recall.
