The BMW CE 02 electric scooter has been launched in India at Rs 4.5 lakh, ex-showroom, introductory. The BMW CE 02 is powered by an air-cooled synchronous motor. It has a 3.9kWh battery which offers a range of 108km (ICAT certified). As for performance in the city, BMW claims that the scooter can sprint form 0-50kmph in 3 seconds.

The top speed of the scooter is 95 kmph, which will give the CE 02 the legs to sit comfortably at highway speeds.

The time taken to charge the battery pack while using the standard 0.9kW charger is 5 hours and 12 minutes whereas the 1.5kW unit does it in 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The design of the CE 02 is quite purposeful and minimalistic. There are barely any body panels to speak of and it seems like the scooter was built around the motor and battery pack. BMW offers the CE 02 in two colours – Cosmic Black and Cosmic Black 2.
